What to expect on your first visit

Arrive with hair about a quarter inch long — roughly seven to ten days of growth. If you're switching from shaving, give it two full weeks for the best possible first result. Skip heavy lotions and self-tanner that morning, and exfoliate gently a day or two beforehand. The appointment itself takes about 30 minutes, and you'll be given a private, warm room with a sugarist who has done this thousands of times.

Afterwards, avoid hot tubs, saunas and heavy workouts for 24 hours. Then exfoliate two to three times per week. That's the whole aftercare routine — no complicated regimen, no upsell.

How often should you come in?

Most clients rebook every three to five weeks. Consistency is what trains the follicle: by your third or fourth appointment, regrowth is noticeably lighter and the appointment itself gets shorter. If you plan on staying on a schedule, our Sun Membership covers a monthly Brazilian or extended bikini and knocks 20% off everything else on the menu.
